App. 7 days for lessons.  Culminating activity will be ongoing throughout the school year.

 

Students will:

  1. Identify the value of a group of nickels and pennies.
  2. Identify the value of a group of dimes and pennies.
  3. Identify a group of dimes and nickels.
  4. Identify the value of a group of dimes, nickels, and pennies.
  5. Identify a quarter and find groups of coins that have the same value.
  6. Count collections of coins including a quarter, dimes, nickels, and pennies.
 

Students will learn to count money through various activities with integrated technology.

Essential Questions:

  1. What do we use money for?
  2. Why do you need to know how to count money?
  3. How do you count money?
